About Karen Massey, MSN, WHNP
Karen Massey, MSN, WHNP, is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner passionate about empowering women to make informed decisions regarding their health and well-being throughout their lifespan. She provides women’s health care services to those in and around Allen, Texas, at RescueMD.
Karen was born in Brooklyn, New York, and spent most of her youth in New Jersey. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. After graduation, Karen joined the United States Army Nurse Corps, where she trained and served as a women’s health nurse practitioner for 10 years.
Later, she studied at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, earning her master’s degree in women’s health and adult medicine. Karen is board-certified by the National Certification Corporation in Women’s Health.
Karen arrived in Allen, Texas, in 2000, where she's continued to provide women’s health care services to women in the North Texas area for the past 22 years. She is excited to join Dr. Okoro and her amazing healthcare team at RescueMD and serve the community in and around Allen.
In her off time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her new granddaughter. She belongs to several pet rescue groups and has three fur babies of her own.
Karen looks forward to meeting all of you as patients.
