Samantha Hulse, MSN, FNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a passion for helping others. She serves patients in and around Allen, Texas, at RescueMD.
Samantha, better known to her family and friends as Sam, was originally born in North Carolina but spent much of her youth in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Immediately after graduation, Sam moved to Dallas, Texas, to work as a registered nurse and complete a critical care residency program at Parkland Hospital.
For almost five years, Sam worked in Parkland’s intensive care unit (ICU) and also as a COVID-19 ICU nurse throughout the pandemic. Her time in the ICU inspired her to become a nurse practitioner so she could help her patients in a different way.
Sam obtained her master’s in nursing at the University of South Alabama and is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. While in school, she completed her internal medicine rotation with Dr. Olubukola Okoro and knew immediately her goal after graduation would be to join Dr. Okoro’s amazing team. Sam is so thrilled and honored to be able to serve the community of Allen, Texas.
On her days off, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Lane, and their two fur-babies. Sam also loves spending time with her family and friends, reading books, and traveling.
